Commissioning an Instrument

The process of commissioning an instrument involves artist and patron,

working together to bring the art form to a higher level.

Frirsz instruments have always been made with the finest European maple and spruce wood, often aged over a hundred years or more.

All work is done entirely by hand, using tools that have been passed down over the last 200 years.

The varnish, an ancient family recipe, is mixed to optimize the acoustical properties and inherent color of the individual plates, and may consist of as many as 25 coats of hand rubbed finish.

A twenty percent deposit secures current price and approximate delivery date with the balance due upon completion. Your satisfaction is guaranteed one hundred percent. If for any reason your instrument should prove unsatisfactory, you will receive a full refund within the first sixty days.

Violin and viola prices begin at $22,000 U.S. funds.

Cello prices start at $38,000 U.S. funds.

If you haven't already experienced a Frirsz instrument, a list of instruments in your area can be made available.
